How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang
4.0

Rating: 4-4.25⭐️

This book carried multitudes. While it is very much a love story, love is in the title, it really tells a broader story; I almost don’t want to call it a love story even though that is very much part of it. Please check trigger warnings for this one as suicide is a topic woven throughout. This is the first book I’ve read that actually dives into the anger of living past a person who’s committed suicide and how that’s fundamentally changed them. The representation as the eldest daughter in a first generation family and the expectations that Helen carried broke my heart. So much healing happens throughout and you can’t help but fall in love with Helen and Grant as they grow. Seriously, y’all don’t talk about Grant Shepherd enough, cause 😮‍💨

Totally recommend this one on audio.
