The Farewell Tour
by Stephanie Clifford
Whew. This one tugged me straight onto the stage with Lillian Waters. A gritty, raw ride through the country music scene that felt equal parts heartbreaking and empowering. I loved how Clifford peeled back the glitz to show the struggle behind the spotlight, messy relationships, sacrifices, and a woman carving her space in a world not built for her.
Why not 5 stars? A few pacing dips had me checking how far I was, but honestly, the voice and the atmosphere carried it home. It’s a book that lingers, like the last note of a good song that will echo long after you close the cover.
