- review for Lord Arthur Savile's Crime only-

Although not my favourite of all of Wilde's works (I gave all the others that I have read so far 5*), he still once again knocks it out of the park with this story.

Tackling Wilde's usual themes of morality and fate, we are thrown into the midst of a moral dilemma in which Lord Arthur is told that he must commit murder in order to marry the woman he loves. I don't want to spoil the rest of it, so go and read what he does! it is short and worth a read!

I didn't think the flowery prose came out here as much as it does in Dorian Gray, but it is still so delightful. Paired with touches of his social commentary it is just what Wilde does best.

The main feeling I was getting from this was 'how aren't the dark academia community all over this?' from the murder to the constant referencing to Shakespeare. I feel like if you love dark academia you would love this!

I look forwards to fleshing out this review as I read it again in the future.
