The Day I Shot Cupid: Hello, My Name Is Jennifer Love Hewitt and I'm a Love-aholic by Jennifer Love Hewitt

2.0

"Sometimes it's the toughest moments that you learn the most about yourself, and the more you know yourself, the less you are willing to give away."

I have always loved Jennifer Love Hewitt! So I was pretty excited when she wrote a book, even though it has been on my TBR pile FOREVER! But I picked it up last weekend, because I needed something light hearted.

I have mixed feelings when it comes to this book. On one hand, I think that she does have some well thought out and balanced and thought out and I love that she brings to light the dating trials and tribulations. But on the other hand, I felt a lot of it was forced, very emotional, and feels like she is pointing the finger at men and only men for being bad at dating. Hate to break it to you, but both men and women can be bad at dating.

I don't like "dating" books in general because what works best for someone may not work for you or me. I feel like making yourself out to be someone you're not is not going to get you what you want, being true to yourself is going to get you the most realist love you will ever be able to find in this shitty world. There is no "perfect person", but I believe if you are true to yourself and what you want, you will find your "perfect person."

I love Jennifer Love Hewitt and I hope one day she writes a real autobiography.
