The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I read this for the first time as an adult during the 2020 quarantine. It sort of reminded me of Lord of the Flies, but obviously being controlled from the outside and in a maze. The story was compelling enough to keep reading to the end of the book for sure, but oddly enough I wasn’t compelled enough to keep reading the books that follow (despite the cliffhanger encouraging me to do otherwise).
