This is probably the weirdest book I've ever read but in the best way possible. You can't compare it to anything else, it's magic realism and social commentary and a retelling of Jesus's crucifixion interwoven with the story about people in the art world of Soviet Moscow.
The plot points would not make sense in any other book and reach from gruesome and disturbing to weirdly wholesome.
As you can tell by my rating I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone around me.
