Weyward is one of the most beautiful and enriching readings I have undertaken so far this year.

Altha, Violet and Kate are linked together not only by blood, but also and above all by the experiences and dynamics they find themselves living. They are united by the sense of alienation they feel towards the rest of the world, by the hatred and fascination they generate in men and by loneliness. Despite the difficulties, however, they are not powerless. And the moment they find their strength, they become spokespersons for the anger and desire for revenge of all women who have suffered injustice throughout history.

Hart is an outspoken author. She embellish the narrative with beautiful metaphors to soften the pain felt by its protagonists. Her novel may be imaginative, but what she's written about is all too real.

Weyward is a book that I absolutely recommend reading.
