Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton

1.0

Seriously? Just...really?

I had so much, SO MUCH, hope for this book. It was original and interesting and the author could have done a lot with the plot but it was just lacking.

I felt like everything happened too fast, and scenes and dialogue between characters just didn't make sense. The plot was just so jumpy and nothing was explained well at all.

Ari was just annoying. And so was her "dark and brooding" love interest. His character never seemed consistent. This whole book never seemed consistent, to be quite honest.

I'm all for the whole playing around with Greek mythology to create a story, but holy crap. It was like someone took every paranormal story in the world, shoved it in a big cooking pot, sprinkled some mythology on top, and mixed it all together. There was just no rhyme or reason for anything that went down in this book.

The writing was not great, but not bad either. I don't know, this book just had a lot of potential and I was disappointed how poorly executed it was.

Overall: Read if you want something fast paced and dark, albeit making little sense most of the time.
