What a world and what a protagonist!
I think the best thing about this book is the main character, Callie. She is so incredibly strong and decided and powerful. She's endured so much and I loved following her on this journey towards healing throughout the two timelines. The world building is very intriguing and I can't wait to learn more in the next books. I loved that there weren't a lot of characters. I'm sure it bothers some of you, but I personally like to follow less characters because they are often better built. At least it was the case here. The plot was interesting though sometimes a little predictable but it didn't erase the mystery and magic behind it.
Can't wait for more!
