I found the pacing of this book to be extremely slow, which made it very difficult to stay engaged. I also hated the diary format and the constant reminders that it was a diary felt too self-aware.

The writing style came across as pretentious and overly elaborate. The dense passages on every page made it hard to stay immersed in the story. It honestly felt more like reading an encyclopedia than a novel.

I was also uncomfortable with the way multiple instances of sexual assault felt romanticized. The book literally ends with a scene very reminiscent of sexual assault.
