Shadows of the Soul
by Adaline Winters
Good
As Cora and Hudson get closer, they’re faced with blood magic around Cora’s house, something weird happening to the shifters, and political intrigue courtesy of Cora’s family…
So much occurred in this fantastic book: motives and monsters are revealed, and the underlying plot makes a few huge leaps.
Hudson makes some bad decisions, for understandable but wrong reasons. Cora makes some dodgy choices too, but ultimately things end up working out, mostly.
We do see some sexy times, and a few battle scenes, and learn more about Cora’s past.
An enjoyable and enthralling urban fantasy for those who love the genre.
