Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid

Ashley Austen Winston escaped her small town in Tennessee, but she still keeps in touch with her mother. When her mom doesn't answer calls for a couple of days, Ashley ends up in Tennessee at the hospital in Knoxville finding out that her mom is sick and not going to make it. Enter Federal Marshall Drew Runous, Ashley's six loveable brothers and enough family drama and angst to fill in an abandoned coal mine. This book had me laughing out loud to the point of tears as we got to know the brothers as the adults that Ashley was also meeting and dying over the tension between her and Drew. Drew's distance is honorable and very cowboy (he is from Texas, after all) and he is Ashley's rainstorm. I haven't read any of the other KITC books, so the Chicago friends melted together for me.
