Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli

5.0

Oh my god. I didn't think Becky Albertalli could get better... but she did! Kate in Waiting was by far my favorite book she's ever written. It was so sweet and cute and relatable and hilarious and ughhhh everything. I literally cannot think of a thing I didn't like about it.

Kate and Anderson always have communal crushes. Every time one of them falls for a guy, the other is right there with them. It's normal... they swear. Well, Matt is the most recent victim. They met at a summer camp and Kate and Anderson were completely smitten. Now, this wouldn't have been a problem - its like any other crush - until Matt shows up at their school and Kate and Anderson become friends with him. Could this test their friendship more than anything ever has?

Seriously! Go read this book if you need to feel very good about life. And if you love musical theatre and want to see references. And if you've ever had a friend you could share anything with. And if... well you get the point.
