Leverage in Death by J.D. Robb
3.0
This was a solid but rather unremarkable entry to the Eve Dallas series. The last few books have been exceptionally interesting so I was disappointed by this one. The mystery didn't grip me and the manufactured drama between Eve and Roarke was ridiculously out of nowhere and copied exactly from a much, much earlier book where their relationship was not as solid. This murder plot was not nearly as compelling or interesting as most have been for reasons that I can't quite put my finger on. The Oscars subplot was boring: like Eve, I'm getting tired of the constant mentions of The Icove Agenda. The suspects' personalities and interrogations seemed to be ripped directly from older books.
tl;dr it was fine but not great.
