Miracles on Maple Hill by Virginia Sorensen

2.0

Miracles on Maple Hill is a predictable but charming story about the wonder of nature and the strengthening of family relationships. Set immediately after World War II (about the era when the book was published), young Marly enjoys the miracles of each new season in her new home in the idyllic countryside of New England. She watches in childlike awe the miracles of life all around her: those in friends, those in nature, and those in her once-broken father. The prose feels almost magical and it’s easy to see why the family’s bonds to one another are strengthened with each passing month on Maple Hill.

A quick and easy read.
