The characters, the world, the beautiful love between the two. The pain my heart felt along side the characters pains. Just chefs kiss.
The human and Vrix interactions are incredibly moving. It was inspiring to see two species—both so fundamentally different—fight past their fear and uncertainty to build something lasting. Also, the miscommunications that come with a language barrier will have you laughing through entire pages.
I can't wait for the other books in this universe!
