Holy Sexy Alien and Sassy

Dang! Liz and Raahosh as a sexy as hell coupling with tons of tension and enemies to lovers to lovers against the world vibes. This series is fantastically spicy but also engaging and I love that it does not feel formulaic in how different the personalities are of both the barbarians and the human women. It is fascinating to me the hate Liz gets for not being a typical waif or a standard TSTL princess but someone who is genuinely struggling with the situation and her own responses. I think with this the audience is getting to learn more about the workings of this world and the khui in the body. I also like this other personality of the barbarian. For being smutty sci-fi romance I am surprised by how into the story and world I am. Learning about the ecosystem and survival. All the characters feel alive and active instead of cardboard cut outs that just have wild sex. Again you would think that listening back to back would get old but Ruby Dixon is good at keeping things interesting. Again others complain about the final hour how the book and again I appreciate the very real struggle being depicted and that not everyone has the same personality in a group and I appreciate that people have strong feelings and things they are willing to rock the boat for. If you enjoyed the first you will surely enjoy this second romp in the furs with Liz and Raahosh. The narrators continue to deliver at the same quality as book one.
