So A Court of Thorns and Roses has been on my TBR for quite a few years now and it's one of those I wish I hadn't waited so long to pick up.

This book is literally just a grown up fairy version of Beauty and The Beast, only this time Belle is illiterate and likes painting and the Beast is stuck with a mask on. It even includes bits of the story that are normally removed from modern adaptions, like the two sisters from the original tale (yes there were two who had a similar transformation). Side note can we also mention how the story also makes reference to another traditional fairy tale, Cinderella, with the lentils and the fireplace? Love that and I'm curious if the other books will follow the fairytale theme.

That ending was absolutely *chef's kiss*. Love to see it.

What I don't love to see however is the brewing love triangle I see on the horizon with Feyre/Tam/Rhys cause I just know that arm tattoo is gonna involve some kinky things if what Booktok says about this series is true.

Sidenote: can we talk about how ACOTAR is to fairies for this generation what Twilight was to vampires for millenials?

Also I know they so far have not met in canon but I think that Nesta and Lucien would a) not only make a cute couple but b) really bring Lucien whole backstory full circle?
