Horace has been excommunicated from the Old Order Amish after being caught stealing. He seeks out a farm to do hard labor for some quick cash. He finds the McCarrick farm, and the McCarrick family. In them, he sees an easy target. Unfortunately for Horace, the same applies to them.
I really enjoyed this novella! The story was very well written, and while I kept going ‘wtf?’ the entire time, I was never actually confused. The twist had me reeling and wanting more!
4⭐️ for this novella! I would have appreciated just a little more backstory, but overall a very enjoyable read.
