Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa

1.0

1 star? 2 stars? I feel like rating a book 1 star means I hated it and while I did not hate Rhapsodic, I couldn’t find one thing to like. It was extremely MEH. Nothing new, nothing hot, nothing that drew me to the characters. It’s one of the books I genuinely do not understand what other people liked about it. I kept pushing myself to finish it hoping it’ll get better. It didn’t.

There are 2 types of dnf:
-one you’re still curious about the end but have no energy left
- another you simply know if you didn’t continue the book you will forget about its existence in no time. Even after finishing this book, it left NOTHING with me. I know I’ll forget about it the next day.

Waste of time. And this is one of the worst things I can feel of a book that I wasted my time by reading it. So that’s why I’ll settle on 1 star even though I don’t give many of those anymore. And to think so many people recommended me this book... the characters were very dull and the story not so interesting. I expected a slow burn romance and to feel or care at least about the characters.. yet none of that happens. I was just relieved I finished the book. I read it after reading [b:From Blood and Ash|52831200|From Blood and Ash (Blood and Ash, #1)|Jennifer L. Armentrout|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1585598504l/52831200._SX50_.jpg|78982151] supposedly a similar read. Nope. Not at all.
