I quite liked this but as I didn't get any great affinity for either character, it read more like a manual for me. In BDSM books I like to get into the headspace of the sub, seeing things from their point of view. I didn't get that with Micah.
I think it was because his ADHD distracted me - not for him having it but me thinking about how he could possibly control something so innate to be the sub Thacket required. And how unfair it seemed to be punished for it. I enjoyed him as the cheeky, back-talking guy at the start, he seemed like a nice guy but we saw less of this and its emergence seemed punished - I wanted more of that Micah!
Thacket confused me - I enjoyed his softer side. But again, I didn't feel anything for him.
The story was easy to read, some emotional bits, was well paced and flowed nicely along and certainly I had no trouble staying with it.
