Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
5.0

I am so sad that there is not more of this book. I'm literally gutted and I don't know what to read next, because this book was absolutely beautiful. It was gorgeous and that's all I can really say about it. I read Anna and the French Kiss for Epic Recs back in December, and I read this book for Epic Recs in March. And I am so ready for Isla and the Happily Ever After. I'm still crying over this. I don't know which book in the 'series' I like better, but I think it's this one.

In Lola and the Boy Next Door, we follow Lola, she is a bit goofy and quirky when it comes to her outfits. She wears wigs and dresses and everything to the max. She has a hot rocker boyfriend, whom she loves very much. The Bell twins return to the house next door and memories get back. Cricket steps out of his twin sister's shadow, right into Lola's life...

I'm just. After I think 20 pages I was so into the book already and I felt all the love and all the cuteness already. And I was at that moment looking for a book that included all of these elements. I love Stephanie Perkins, her writing is amazing and it's great that you can read one of her books and just feel right into the book. I felt the love and all the feels. And I wanted Cricket for myself, because he's such a cutie. I'm all for the good guys in books, they are my absolute favorite!

I liked Calliope for some strange reason. She was quite bitchy, but I'm sure she has a good heart as well. I kind of liked all the characters, besides Lola's rocker boyfriend whose name was Max, but I can't remember, because I don't like him. He reminded me of some specific person in the past. Although I liked him being a rocker, I really didn't like all of the characters making such a big thing about the age difference. It wasn't that big. I was glad he wasn't 32... But I don't know.

This book is a big recommendation to everyone that wants to read fluffy and adorable books with lots of romance and love and emotions. You should first read Anna and the French Kiss, but then go straight to this one, you won't regret it at all. I'm thinking Francine for recommending me this book and I hope you enjoy this one if you haven't already read it. If you have, tell me what you think!
