An excellent Christie novel checked off my list of reading all the Hercule Poirot books in order! As usual, I was thrown off by the red herrings and didn’t guess who the murderer was, and was quite surprised when it was revealed. My only complaint is that as I’m nearing the end of the Poirot books, he seems to be showing up in the stories later and later. Ah well, maybe that’s preparing me for when I come to the end and have to continue reading the non-Poirot mysteries!
