Mediocre at best!
I was initially excited by the plot of the story, it seemed super interesting and i’ve been on a ww2 kick lately. I was disappointed to find out the two women who i was hoping to care so deeply about, barely worked together. Unfortunately the author did not make me care about the characters much, i didn’t get engulfed in the story and there were too many random side stories going in at once without actually building depth in any of them.
What i will say is that i really enjoyed the writing style and the imagery was beautiful! I think the concepts had so much potential, and its unfortunate that these incredibly strong womens’ stories fell short. The one plot i did care about was Elaine and Joseph, she had me hoping till the end!
