Oh. My. God.
I don’t read comic books, but after this I may do so more often! What a beautiful story.
Superficially, the art is amazing. I love the character designs, the vibrant colors, and all the detail that was put in. Incredible.
The story blew me away. I didn’t think a pro-wrestling comic would have me ugly crying for a half hour, but here I am. Sure, this comic is about pro-wrestling, but it’s more about family, grief, and coming to terms with the inevitable. It’s heartbreaking in a bitter-sweet kind of way.
I will be rereading this one and recommending it to everyone I know. You don’t need to be interested in wrestling to love this story.
