Read e-book. This book was....interesting. Fortunately, I had read several reviews before diving in and was aware this book took an over-the-top weird and sci-fi twist at the end. The first 70% of this book was basically a police procedural with a lot of characters that I honestly couldn’t keep straight. I’m glad I didn’t listen to this on audio (several reviews mentioned that). I guess I expected more suspense/horror since this was compared to a King novel, but I found it a bit boring and the end was just plain weird. Honestly, 3 stars was pretty generous, but I’m glad I finally tackled it, as I would have just kept wondering what it was all about.
