If I have to read the word 'catatonic' one more time this year, I'll go insane.

My issue with this book is that the premise is quite good; it's the execution that leaves a lot wanting. The writing wasn't particularly bad, either, but the MC is pretty unlikable and I just couldn't root for him
especially as he got all of his friends and companions killed in a ridiculous effort to save a single girl, who he really should not have cared as much about as he did, regardless of how or when he lost his little sister. This man needed therapy years ago, didn't get it, and now all he and of his friends are dead.
It also wasn't as frightening as I wanted it to be.
