Raven and Ares’s love story was so good. However I got a bit tired of Raven’s insecurities. I know getting rid of those kind of thoughts are not easy, especially when someone is there reminding you of them, but I got tired of her taking one step forward and going three steps back almost all the time. The angst in this book was so good, I really enjoyed it. I can’t say I didn’t like the sex scenes, but for some reason I cringe with a few of them.
I read this book because Raven made some short appearances in Bittersweet Memories, so I was intrigued to know about her, and because I was hoping Alanna and Silas were going to make a cameo in her story and they did!
Now that I know a little bit of the Windsors, I am looking forward to reading about them, so I can’t wait to read Luca’s book next.
What Raven had to go through because of her mom and sister was awful, they were awful people, but I also liked their characters, they were so despicable that it was so easy to hate them. I like that, when the villains are created in such a good way that you hate them no matter what.
