I know others haven't really liked it but I'm glad we're getting other POVs in this series. I think it helps to keep it fresh, and to be honest, I haven't loved Atticus in the past couple of books. So I think if we were still just in his head I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. Even in this one I enjoyed his story the least. I think I missed a short story or novella leading up to this that might have explained his war on the vampires better but coming in without that, he's kind of a genocidal jerk for most of the book. I liked Granuaile and the witches, I liked the story line with her step-father less so. Although I appreciate her fierce druid/warrior for the earth thing, I thought the confrontation between her and the step-dad to a little over the line for me. I think, and hope, that she's learned from it. Which brings me to my favorite part, Owen. I loved his story line. I thought it had the most emotion and it was the most fun. He's funny and profane and really still human in a way Atticus isn't sometimes. I really loved Oberon leading Owen through modern Toronto. I'm also team Greta and I don't blame her one bit for her feelings about Atticus. I switched to audio for this installment and I liked the narration and thought it added at lot to my enjoyment. I didn't love Oberon's voice at first but it totally grew on me and by the end I was smiling at his parts as usual.
