Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare is one of his famous comedies telling the story of Katherina - the shrew who talks back to men and speaks her mind. How ungodly. And Petruchio who "tames" her.
Whilst I can understand why this play is renowned and I do enjoy a good Shakespeare, I couldn't get the feminist retelling play I saw out of my head. I prefer the feminist retelling as the play itself is very of its time. That being said it was enjoyable for what it was. But I won't be racing out the house to read another.
