The biggest strength is the characters, both in the main and side characters.  It made me wish that I read the first two books in the series first.  However, because the characters are developed so well, I felt like a lot of the focus wasn't on Holly and Tara's relationship.  While they are technically fake dating, Holly and Tara fall so hard and fast for each other that it doesn't even seem fake.  Overall, I did really like this one, but I should have read the first two books in the series.
