Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
I think this just isn’t the style of horror for me. I felt that while some of the feelings that the characters had in relation to their respective trans journeys was relatable, i just could not connect with them. I generally disliked each character. I felt that while there is a lot of descriptions of the world and experiences, it lacked in some aspects and focused more on gore details rather than anything that would indicate like a scare aspect or thrill. I know that there is a lot of criticism about the book and I feel that it is important to not go in blind to the content and really research and see if it is something you are comfortable consuming.
