What in the world has gotten into Simone Elkeles? This was CRINGEWORTHY bad. I think I've read rough drafts that were formed better than this. The dialogue was utter crap. I can't even beat around the bush. The character development? What character development? This entire book was extremely immature and poorly constructed. I did not think highly of the first book in this series, but this one was on another level of bad.
She used to be one of my go-to YA Contemporary fiction authors, but I'm scared to recommend her if this is what she's publishing now. Shame on her editors and publishing company for allowing this. She can do so much better.
