The fifth book in Richelle Mead's young adult cult hit series, Vampire Academy, is another good read. Now that the girls, Rose and Lissa, are no longer bound to the school they are faced with some exciting and daunting realities. Told from the first person perspective of Rose, the audience is drawn into her world of mayhem.
Richelle's way of writing is very engaging and has you laughing, crying and fighting alongside with the characters. The modern day setting coupled with the fictional creatures, vampires, is a very popular YA genre at the moment. But Richelle's vampires are closely linked with ancient folk law and mythology, which is why her novels are such a hit.
