He's that overly arrogant lawyer who has to defend the company that killed her mom. Now he's stuck in her house. And she just found out she's pregnant with his baby.
Gabriel Thronhill is everything she despises, rich, cocky, and heartless.
Not only that, he's representing the very company she's been fighting in court.
A snowstorm accidentally stranded him in her small town, and she's stuck with him.
And she doesn't have the heart to leave him out in the cold.
She's a nurse. She helps people everyday, it's what she knows and what she does, strangers, friends, even her enemies.
She knows that it should have been a simple thing. Nurse him back to health, kick him out of her home, and then fight him tooth and nail in court.
It's his cocky charm and good looks that manage to get under her skin.
And the way he flirts with her makes her want to scream and kiss and hug him all at once.
He shows her his vulnerability and his pain, and it makes her want to nurse ease his broken past and heal him all at once.
She knows that this can't go any further.
Her mother would never forgive her. She'd be rolling over in her grave.
And her town, the entire town, is counting on her to fight.
Her determination wavers, though, falls apart when he puts his perfect hands on her.
He left her after the storm. She knew that he would. It wasn't a surprise. What was the surprise – finding out she was pregnant – with his baby.
Jump on this emotionally charged roller-coaster ride that ends with a Happily-Ever-After. Broken Lawyer is the first book in the Broken Billionaires Series by Ivy Snow. Each book is able to be read as a standalone, has absolutely no cheating, and WILL NOT end in any cliffhangers of any kind.
Tropes: Enemies-to-lovers, Surprise Baby, Small Town, Forced Proximity, Stuck Together, Broken Lawyer, Sassy Nurse.
A man is left broken and unconscious after an accident in a snowstorm.
A nurse finds him and is unable to just leave him, rescues him, takes him home, and tends to his wounds.
She is soon shocked to discover that the man is no other than Gabriel, the lawyer on the opposite side of her lawsuit. And he has baggage and ghosts of his own that he wants to keep hidden, a past that is shadowed in pain and yet he sees that Heather, the nurse who stands opposed to his client, is something different and is special and he's never met someone like her before. Heather stands up to him, challenges him, and while they start off standing on opposite sides, something changes for them both very quickly.0
They have a perfect push and pull chemistry like no other that just leaps off the page and wraps around you, pulling you deeper and deeper into their story. And soon their connection weaves it's way between them leaving an indelible mark.
They have broken down the walls that separated them, letting them get closer in ways neither ever imagined nor another would get close again. They reveal their truths to each other, and Gabriel soon realizes that success means absolutely nothing unless you have that one special person to share that success with.
Ivy Snow has done something remarkable with Broken Lawyer. She has upped the romance genre game and added levels of intelligence to it that I have very rarely seen in other books of this caliber.
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish, and I look forward to rereading it in the future. I am also looking forward to the next installment in the series to see how far up she can level the game she has started.
