A Murder of Magpies by Judith Flanders

3.0

My mom recommended this book to me because I’m a writer and the MC is an editor, and I have to admit that concept really pulled me into the story! But then Sam stole my heart because she’s hilarious and so matter-of-fact. I’d say we’d be friends but I don’t think she’d really have friends like I want to be, haha. The characters and connections got a bit tangled up for me in parts, but overall I thought it was a good case - however Sam herself was my favorite part. And Helena! Amazing characters. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
