This book had a great idea but it wasn't fleshed out fully. My biggest issue is the story is told from multiple povs. Of each character in the book club. They are all different ages, demographics from different socioeconomic backgrounds, different genders and sexual orientations. Yet somehow almost all the characters internal monologs sounded the same. I kept forgetting which characters perspective I was in. The only perspective that was distinctive was Arthur's. Also the ending was super predictable. I think the other thing that made it not as enjoyable is I had never read any of the books the book club read. It wasn't a bad book but I will never reread it and I'll probably donate my copy to a little library in my neighborhood.
