“{she} contemplated the most terrific of ruins - that of a human soul.”
This book has so much to say, and I found that I absorbed a lot more of it in this re-read (and had to increase my rating by 0.75 stars aha). Wollstonecraft was incredibly ahead of her time with her proto-feminist sentiment, and she is not shy in expressing this outright within the novel. Would definitely recommend reading this at least twice!!
