Ruby by V.C. Andrews

4.0

Last year I vowed to reread my old V.C. Andrews books unread since my long ago teen years. Unfortunately after the second Casteel book it went downhill from there and I stopped. I had several free audio book credits so decided to take another chance on Ruby. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it, enough to want to read the series and maybe given the Cutler series a try again. Though a bit melodramatic at times, most of the time, it was a decent story. Of course this was the ghostwriter working off his own imagination and not trying to complete the vision the real Andrews had like with Casteel. Who knows I might carry on with the rest of the series after all. A light, easy if at times eye rolling read it was a great way to unwind during a stressful time.
