I've been wanting to dig into this series for ages and now I'm kicking myself for taking so long! Conceptually the idea of this story is amazing but it's all the little details of it that really captivated me. It's strange and weird but also delightfully charming. The different portal worlds and the shared experience of trauma and loss as a result of the children's journeys really pulled at my heart strings.
