Bathsheba: Reluctant Beauty by Angela Hunt

Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.
I am disappointed with the book. Very early on in the book, it talks about Uriah and Bathsheba's marriage bed. Though it was a fade to black scene, it was still a little too steamy for my taste. Also, the prophet Nathan seemed to be lusting over Bathsheba. He doesn't find his own wife attractive, and early on it says that he pictures another woman when they lie together. There was nothing in the bible to indicate that the prophet Nathan knew Bathsheba, or that he had a problem with lusting after other women. I found that this was ironic since he was the one who rebuked David for sleeping with Bathsheba. It does bug me that there was a little too much liberty taken when retelling this biblical story. I looked at some spoilers and found out that this book was just not for me.
