Soooo weird but not like Mona Awad. Miranda July's style isn't one I particularly enjoy, but I was intrigued by it, especially the interplay between reality and fantasy with the first person narration. I thought July was quite skilful in depicting both Cheryl's depressed despondency, and her strong emotions.
