Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
2.5
adventurous dark mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I feel like there just wasn't enough done with the entire story. There wasn't enough character development. There wasn't a satisfying resolution. There wasn't enough world building.
It reminded me of all of the dropped plot lines in Harry Potter. Like we said slavery is bad but we didn't actually solve anything. In this case it was, we showed that rich, pretentious, white boys are, in fact, terrible and pretentious (shocker). But there wasn't a satisfying end or reckoning.
It was fine. I don't care enough about anyone to pick up the next one.
