My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

3.0

I like Jodi Picoult and the idea behind this book but I just couldn’t love it. It was slow and I hated the ending though it’s real life in many instances. It’s about a family whose daughter has leukemia and in order to find an exact match for the organs, etc. that she needs they have another baby and use this daughter to help save their other daughter. As the second daughter grows up she ends up seeking out a lawyer for medical emancipation so her parents can’t make all of the decisions about her body, even though she loves her sister and wants to help her. It’s a heartbreaking and emotional story.
