Under Locke by Mariana Zapata

Okay so I definitely wasn’t the right audience for this book. I probably should have DNFed it, but I just really didn’t want to have to decide on another one, you know what I mean?
I expected it to be a slow burn like the other MZ I read (The Wall of Winnipeg) where there were just a couple steamy scenes at the end (I prefer to skip those) but this one had way more which meant I had to skip a bunch.
Also, Dex was so terrible at the beginning it was like painful to read. I’ve never seen so many red flags. And they didn’t disappear either.
But, hey, like I said, I just wasn’t the right reader for this book— I know a lot of people love it!
