How the Heart Breaks
by Stacey Marie Brown
I got the lovely opportunity to receive an ARC of this amazing book. This is a voluntary review and I am very excited to share my thoughts.
.
Secrets. Heartbreak. Love. Loss. New. Old. This story was full of so many emotions. From chapter one, it throws you into loss. And as you come up for air that’s when you meet a young nineteen year old with a tight ass. Emery thought she could never feel certain things again until she saw Mason James. It’s forbidden. What would people say? But boy does he have a way with words. He got me questioning my life choices. This book will have you on a high. It’s hot. Coat closets. Washers. FaceTime. Car hoods. With all the feelings going around this book also got one amazing twist. You won’t even see it coming. Now let’s hear some of those lovely words…
“I enjoy fixing older, broken things.”
“I leaned back on the counter, trying not to stare at his firm, pert ass.”
“You talk like it’s going to happen again.” “Believe me.” He dipped into me, his mouth a hair from mine. “It will. Many, many times.”
“His eyes flashed as he pulled his arm away, placing his fingers in his mouth, sucking me off them. “For the road.” He winked before sauntering out of the garage.”
“So tell me? Did he take you to Jesus-land?” “Oh yeah.” I sighed. “Several times.”
