I really liked this book but not as a romance. I liked the MC’s lore and learning about her struggle as a 20 something stuck in a rut.  Honestly, the entire book could have been about her finding her way and it would be perfect. The romance aspect was nice but not needed. I didn’t think they were equally yoked regardless of how well meaning.  And  I think the MC deserved better.  They never quite found their back to each other in a healthy way, so I could have gone without it.
