This was a recommendation to me by my 7th grader. He said I’d like it because I like “people-based stories” and he was right. Same vibes as Fish In a Tree—kids navigating big issues but they have enough friendships as well as kind adults in their lives to support them through it. My favorite quote: “You can’t order people up like pizzas to be exactly what you want…I’m going to stop thinking about the ways I wish granny were different and love her for who she is.”
