What We Keep by Jennifer Millikin
5.0
This book is one you need to go in blind. If you need trigger warnings, check those, but nothing else. The story is unlike anything you have read before, and it stuck with me for days after I finished it.
Avery and Gabriel have a second chance, but we need to figure out how they got here. The book is told in 2 parts, Avery tells her side of the story in part one. Together she and Gabriel are the voices in part two. Much like real life, there are challenges, and as we unravel their story we learn their flaws, but see the love.
I loved this book and read it quite quickly. The story had me hooked, and it provided just enough information to keep me wanting more. The story stayed with me long after I read The End. It is emotional and frustrating but unique and a must-read.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review
