This was a fast, fun read, packed with romance and suspense elements. This book is the second in the interconnected standalone series, with Grimstone being the first. I was lucky enough to read an ARC of Grimstone last year and loved it, so was keen to try this book too. The cover is gorgeous!

I enjoyed the book, but I will say it felt like there was something slightly missing for me in this book. Perhaps right book, wrong time.
